EEL in one place.

This page combines the public about, tokenomics, FAQ, mining and transparency information so users do not have to jump through many separate pages.

What is EEL?

EEL is a native Proof-of-Work cryptocurrency focused on the basic coin flow: mine blocks, hold a native balance, inspect public activity and verify transactions in an explorer.

EEL is not ERC-20, not a token on Ethereum and not a hidden smart-contract allocation. It uses familiar 0x-style addresses for wallet and explorer usability.

How new EEL enters circulation.

EEL is not distributed through a hidden mint, ERC-20 allocation or ad-reward system. New coins enter circulation through accepted Proof-of-Work blocks according to the public chain rules.

Visible bootstrap miner address

During the public bootstrap phase, EEL uses the following visible vanity miner address:

0x8888888883Cf35d27cF76413c246862d7Af83F84

This address is intentionally public and easy to recognize in the explorer. It is used as the initial EEL node/miner reward address so that early network mining is transparent and easy to verify.

Coins received by this address are normal Proof-of-Work mining rewards and transaction fees from mined blocks. They are not created through premine, ad rewards, hidden minting, smart contracts, ERC-20 allocation or any private emission mechanism.

EEL is a native Proof-of-Work cryptocurrency. New EEL enters circulation through mined blocks according to the public chain rules. Anyone can inspect blocks, rewards, fees and miner addresses in the explorer.

Mining

Miners use a public 0x reward address. The website miner does not need a private key, seed phrase or wallet connection.

  1. Open Miner.
  2. Paste your own public 0x address.
  3. Start mining and verify accepted blocks in Explorer.

Wallet / Add Network

Use Add Network to add EEL to MetaMask or another compatible 0x wallet.

Bootstrap miner address

0x8888888883Cf35d27cF76413c246862d7Af83F84 is the visible vanity bootstrap miner address used by the initial EEL node/miner. It is intentionally public and recognizable.

This does not mean there is a premine or hidden mint. Rewards sent to this address come from normal Proof-of-Work block rewards and transaction fees when this miner finds blocks. Other miners can mine to their own 0x-format addresses.

Is EEL ERC-20?

No. EEL is a native Proof-of-Work cryptocurrency. It uses 0x-style addresses for familiar account display, but EEL is not an ERC-20 token and not a smart-contract allocation.

Do I need a private key to mine?

No. Public browser mining only needs a public reward address.
Never paste a private key or seed phrase into the website.

Where should I verify activity?

Use the public Explorer to inspect full hashes, blocks, addresses, mempool entries, rewards and fees.
